Anniversary

Our 1 Year Anniversary!
Yesterday marked our one year anniversary. We won't lie, it feels like so much more than one year, I mean we have gone through enough (sickness) to make it seem like ten. So it was like "Yay, its our anniversary - wait...its been only a year?" But no worries, it still turned out to be the best night.
Yes. Our Anniversary is on Halloween. Which works out well because its our favorite holiday, I mean who doesn't love dressing up and getting candy. Last year, I (Chrissy) was Lolita while Joachim wore a GnR shirt (fail at a costume) and it all went down. This year though tops dressing like a nymphant. Our Star Trek outfits dominated. (Note: Joachim hand-made the pin, its made out of wood and was completed in IB DT class.)

We went to T8 for dinner, which was amazing. The interior is to die for, its rich, lush and minimalistic. And like always we had a couch set off in a private room. While sometimes we find the food over-rated, our meal last night confirmed why its in the Conde Nast World's 50 best restaurants (the only one in China to make it). It was a food-gasm.

But more important than the food it was romantic, and peaceful. We sat on the couches and talked and talked. And ordered more bread - its house made and we would pay the money just to eat the bread. We were the only people in the restaurant under the age of 35 (and the waitress recognized us...ha) and the only one in a costume. I guess we are special. Special teenagers, even if we don't really do "teenage things".
And while the night was already amazing, and special and gold - it got even better. After a good hour or so a couple came in and took the couch-table across from ours. The man recognized us as "Trekkies" right away, and explained it to his Cantonese wife, and then told us he was Leonard Nimoy's cousin! We stood there in complete shock and had our mouths open for like a year. He and his wife were super nice/interesting/cool, they live in Hong Kong, but come to SH or BK because I guess Hong Kong gets too tight.
Thats the awesome scarf that Chrissy made for me. Its not only comfortable, and cool, it keeps me warm and its made by Chrissy using wool scavenged from her favorite scarves! And I got her the quite fitting Star Trek Communicator USB phone just to make long distance easier...
After a very very long dinner (the last time we were there, it took four hours. And I though we were leaving early - we had no dessert - but we weren't. It was prom. We showed up at 10.30.) we walked around. But it was so crazy. They had some party thing going on,there were all these people in crazy costumes walking around on like stilts. We didn't even stand out in our Star Trek outfits, because it was like a Tokyo subway - only with people in intense masquerade costumes. It took 30 minutes to walk down Xintiand

We came home and watched "Breakfast at Tiffanys". Its the movie which sums up (or at least we think so) our life and our relationship and ourselves. And we danced when they played "Moon River". So cheesy, but so nice.
