Tech.

Today after school we had another session of both technical work and stage work for our school's play Pirates of Penzance. Let me try and paint you a picture:

So imagine a 2 inch dust covered shop with tools that look like belong in the 1800s. Rust covered nails, screws and bolts all over the place, a welder which looks completely unused, a table saw without power supply, a drill press ten times the size of the newer high-tech versions, and a blue/grey dust and rust covered shelfing unit (empty) all sitting there, relatively peacefully. Then comes the tech team, struggling to scavenge, salvage, use and reuse the tools. It is a sight to remember. Especially, when we get an experienced DTer showing off his skills... And an artist contemplating his ultimate design... A construction leader with his arms crossed examining his minion's work... And so on and so forth... I got to use the lift, that makes anyday better! The ability to turn a nob, press a button and up you go at an entire 30 centimeters per second dodging light arrangements, pipes and poles.. We (the tech team) have a lot of fun, and the best part is, we know what we are doing. Well at least we hope so..

For all the school people reading this post, and if you are not already involved with Pirates of Penzance, go and see it! (Aha, now no one can complain about me not advertising)

- Joachim.

p.s. I ate a school pizza today, it was the first time in months.
& Thank you Gianluca for calling our blog "cute".  Thats what every guy wants to hear...
