Fireflies (Friday)

School was (insert nondiscreate adjective).  But afterwords we went to Super Brand Mall, the massive 8 story concave, which really only has like ten stores worth shopping in.  We hadn't been there together in ages, so it was a nice change than previous Fridays of staying in, ordering Sherpas, and playing Half Life 2.  Who can resist shopping? Even if the only clothing purchased was black satin gloves (for Chrissy) the trip smelled like success.

We were hungry, all we ate at school was ice cream and a split granola bar.  So before really did much of anything, not including the first obligatory stop to Sephora so Chrissy could re-do all her make-up, we went and got ice cream, french fries and giant Coke Zeros.  Remember how we said we were healthy people? Maybe since the cokes had no calories and are "diet" it balances out hotfuge dipped french fries?  Nahh...Originally, for ice cream we stopped at Dairy Queen so we could get Dilly Bars.  But the bars were filled with nuts that Chrissy couldn't eat, so that was a sad city.  But no worries, the women at the Dairy Queen check out counter gave us a reduced prince, with no asking or explanation.  That was happy.

The rest of the time there we looked at all the nice clothes, and went to a sushi conveyor belt restaurant.  Where you can not only order all the Japanese sushi/bento boxes/tempura/whatever you want, but you can also sit at a bar and grab sushi off a moving cover belt.  And the sushi is great and fresh! And the rice, which is what makes the sushi, is design.  And for under 200 quai for two people to gorge their faces off of raw fish, its the best deal in Shanghai.

When we came back we watched Sharkwater.  Then we chilled like triangles to that angsty, electronic music that is almost emo but is too soft.  We needed our fix.  Don't insult.

And all that ice cream was just fabulous.
