Friday and Saturday
Friday I had my hair done, a four and a half hour ordeal. The time is fine by me, honestly I quite like it, it's like being a celebrity! Its so relaxing, its one of the few times I can just sit and read lush magazines (other than that, it's manis and pendis). Plus it makes you feel like they are doing a very precise and clean job. In the states, my hair would take an hour maybe to get done. Which makes you question the quality of the cut. My hair guru is Donald and he knows style. But the best part of the whole time - is when Joachim came! He sat with me for two and a half hours and just talked. He knew I was feeling down, and so when he came in...he brought with him a huge piece of dark chocolate and the movie Up! It was so romantic, I am really lucky!
After the hair process, we stopped by a sushi conveyerbelt at the bottom of Carrefour. I realized that I had only eaten a pear and a sprite so was a bit hungry. Four tofu sushi and two seaweed salads later, we dropped off Joachim's 15 kilo backpack (with computer) at my house and headed into Xintiande for dinner with his family. We went to Pizza Express and had a nice time. His family is lovely.
Sadly, when we came back we wanted to watch Up! But we feel asleep...before 11.30...in the middle of the movie. -____-. Tired teenagers. aiyo. BUT! We did watch the first bit...which means the really really sad bit! And I did cry!
Saturday!
I was sick. As David said "it's like you have AIDS or something". Hehe ... funny (*sarcasm). But I don't mind at all when Joachim comes over. Its an excuse to stay in, and I love that. We ordered Pho and vegetable Vietnamese spring rolls; nothing when your stomach is upset tastes better than crisp, clean Pho and fresh spring rolls with sour root vegetables! More importantly, I played Dragon Age! Its worth all Joachim's fuss, I had a blast. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Joachim will bring it over, on his like 15 kilo laptop, so we can play it next Friday! I am a Dalish elf, Joachim choose the character for me, and spent hours creating my character (its like Sims, you design them) so she looks just like me. Uncanny Valley much? The only difference is her eyes are so sad, and she doesn't have my long hair. And her name is spelled "Cryssy" - implying something, my dear? Joachim choose me being a Dalish elf for many (private) reasons, though the (public) reason that the Dalish live in the forests, the love nature - but most importantly ANIMALS! Ha. I have the maturity of a five year old. We also watched Up! which Joachim said ! Awww. I won't lie. We both got emotional, its that good of a movie. And this is coming from kids who used to have their "movie" be Kill Bill vol. 1 and Blade Runner; and who's first date movie was a Korean War film...with subtitles.
I will add in pictures later: like maybe tomorrow? Or soon!
Ack. Finales are in less than two weeks, but we have so much IB work and homework that it doesn't matter! Stressed!
