Bits and Bobs.

This week I:
-  Got sick. Well I guess I didn't "get" sick,  my perpetual sickness just intensified.  Awesome. Go me. Shake up those waters!  The week OF finales and I am missing school, from the usual vomiting, fever, all that jazz. What's the tip top tap of the situation is...

 -  I am basically now on a vegan-esq diet.  The doctor told me to not eat any diary for a week or a bit longer.  Which reduces my diet now to that of Daryl Hannah's and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.  Or the less esoteric pop-cultural reference: Natalie Portman and  Ellen DeGeneres. Sometimes, actually quite often, I contemplate becoming vegan.  While I drink soy milk, I consume yogurt to epic proportions but get all sad thinking about the cow's with their big eyes and how they may be in pain.  Ironically, I often (naively) think that becoming vegan could make my life easier! I take like 30 minutes when ordering at a restaurant.  I never can choose there are so many yummy options just wanting to be consumed! Too many choices! I get stressed, and then end up eating everyone else's food they don't want.  Like at the Golf Team dinner, who ate half of Kirin's brie, mushroom, and spinach paninni...ha. But then if I were vegan I couldn't really eat out, or really eat anything which would be mega ultra depressing. What a Catch 22!  Maybe I will become a part-time vegan in college, it will save me money (which will go back into either a) student debt or b) fashion) and it will help me not gain the dreaded Freshman 15.  I miss my ricotta.

- I fell in love harder with Tibet. The lovely land of wonderful tofu, the best sky, and yaks.  Every time I see a picture, in this case a movie, on the nation I wish I was there with a really nice camera taking tip top tap pictures.  My dad and I wish to go there, I hope to go backpacking (with one of the backpacks designed for people with horrid backs of course!) and get all adventure-y.  My oh my.  I used to hate roughing it in like middle school, I would rather be in a lux. environment - but now an ideal is to go to Tibet to backpack! Can you get much better that a land filled with beauty, no people and YAKS!! Only my 3-4 favorite animal, of course.

(Dear People's Republic of China, please do not ban/censor our blog in Mainland.  We love YOUR land of Tibet because its pretty and has yaks.  Long live the P.R.C.! Huzzah!)

- Completed my last ever English Finale. *tear.  I threw in over like 20 lit. terms in my commentary, aha.  They most likely were NOT all right, it became a bit of a free-for-all, dying attempt.  Sadly i could not use PHONIC INTENSIVE, which I found online.  Oh how I wanted my teacher's face to light up when seeing that and be like "Chrissy, wow, she used "phonic intensive" what a bright, cleaver child.  To celebrate I will be a fairy god mother and not only let her get into her first choice of college but also she can have this kind, floppy bunny."

- Studied.  It hurt my eyes.  I am exhusted. Joachim is exhusted.  Last weekend we stayed in and worked on homework. Then babysat.  The weekend before, we went to Taikeng lu.  Both weekends we played Dragon Age, and ate good food.  Well, I guess you can't study "too hard".  To help with the need for caffine, because I can't really cola, I drank tea.  Tea is wonderful - I have been a 7 year addict.  It makes me want to wear knee socks and curl up in my bed with big fluffy down blakets.  And listen to rain.

and...

- Fell in love.  With a Cat.  Joachim and I went to a Japanese place for last Friday for lunch, Saya where I often go with my dad on Wednesday nights, and found out they had a little kitty! It crawled upstairs to our little set-your-feet-in-the-floor table, and played with us! And let us pet it! And feed it! And love it! It purred, and pounced on our hands.  It was so cute, and made both of our hearts say "awwww".  We were sad for the rest of the day, because we missed Henry (it had no name, according to the waitress, so we named in Henry).  Even cute than the cat was Joachim, who was really really tender in petting it, and talking to it (he would have little conversations), and verbally mentioning how adorable it was and that he was in love.  Nawww.

To all the guys out there who think they are too manly to find something "cute" - you aren't fooling anyone.  Life isn't a man fest have to shoot elk or whatever while pounding down beer to prove you are manly.  Take a cue from George Clooney, and embrace your feminine side, there is a reason he gets all those women

====================================================================================================
This week I:

- Ate waffles for dinner. I was just one of those days where ordinary dinner food just didn't seem appropriate.. So my mom decided to just make waffles. And oh yes, it was very good.

- Met the coolest and cutest cat. It was just really, really...yeah.. Chrissy really nailed the description. How emasculating... hehehe.

- Played no Dragon Age... Just too much work and things to do... Oh well. The vacation should offset that imbalance, and hopefully I will be able to rest.. And if I am not resting or working on my Extended Essay (which I am not worried about at all because my topic is so so so cool.) I will most likely be sending Chrissy an email...

Other than that.. I really wasnt able to do much.. And not that much happened. Oh the tragedy that is me..

- Joachim
