I got my nails painted before leaving.  I wasn’t sure what to do, other than NO FRENCH.  French is tacky, it rings in images of Jersey girls and cheap waitresses.  I know this, because Vogue once did an article where the writer scathed about her, and her editors, undying hate for the manicure.  There is nothing worse, apparently, on your nails than a French manicure as it’s a first way to distinguish your “classiness”. 

I am warning the general masses.

Basically, the “hot new” two colors are emerald green and navy.  Because I find color anywhere than your toes “very high school” I choose navy with sparkles – very middle school!- on my toes.  Ballet pink is on my hands.
